I thought my health journey as a mom would be easy.
I had worked in health and wellness for over 20 years, so I had the knowledge and experience. So when I became pregnant, I truly believed I would have no trouble “bouncing back.” I thought I knew exactly what to do.
But it wasn’t that easy…I’ve never felt so tired in my life. Even simple things felt hard and nothing I tried seemed to work anymore, even though it had worked before.
That’s when I learned something important. Knowledge only helps if it fits the life you’re living. And I had ignored how becoming a mom had changed me SO much. I was still trying to do things the old way.
To move forward, I had to let go of what used to work. I had to stop trying to go back to who I was before and learn how to use my experience in a new way – one that actually respected my life as a mom.
That’s when things finally started to feel easier and happier. Not because I was doing more, but because what I was doing finally made sense.
Living through this shift gave me a much deeper understanding of what moms go through and made me want to create the kind of support I wish I had during that time. That’s why I createdThe Mighty Mom Code. It’s not just something I teach, it’s something I live and practice every day alongside the women I support.
